My sisters cat has recently become extremly ill Weight Loss,bad breath, and he’s very lethargic what could it
what could this possibly be?
Look I realize my sister has to take her cat to the vet you all don’t have to keep telling us this we have a wonderful vet who lets us make payments all of our animals vaccinations are up yo date and they are all very well taken care of. It is a Saturday night and YES it costs extra $100 extra to be exact to bring a pet on an emergency visit it is close to christmas and no we can not afford it. however come monday a.m. we have every intention on taking him I was just curious to see if any one had any info on what they may think it could be or if anyone has had a similar experience to maybe narrow it down so the vet can have an idea what to test for first so please all of you “concerned” respondents please don’t jump to think we won’t take our very loved very well taken care of 10 year old cat to the vet (cats don’t live to be 10 by not being brought to the vet)
My 9 yr old cat got sick like that suddenly,too. He was fine when I went to work and 12 hrs later he was sick. I couldn’t do anything for him until he went to the vet. They took a blood test and he has a thyroid problem. After a few weeks on the meds he was back to normal but will always be on meds. Thyroid can cause lots of problems. We had to get his meds just right or he gets sick again. Look it up and see if the symptoms are similar. If they don’t stay on their meds they will not survive.
