Non-healthy eating, but exercise?
Okay, so I work at a call center which means I’m sitting around for 8 hours a day. Also, I really don’t eat very healthy because my boyfriend and I just got our first apartment, we’re pretty young and unfortunately I have to get whatever is cheapest. However, for the past couple of weeks I have been trying to jog 2 miles every day after work, but I’m noticing a difference yet, plus I’ve heard that sprinting is better for Weight Loss, so I’m wondering what I should do for excercise. What I’m also wondering is even if I do jog 2 miles five days a week, or sprint or whatever, is that going to be enough to offset the fact that I’m not eating healthy and the fact I’m sitting all the time at work? So I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions or insight, please help!
PS: if you’re going to post only to tell me to eat healthy, I know I should be but I can’t afford it right now so I’m not interested in eating lectures, I’m interested in the most I can do to get the best results right now.
So what you need to know is how many calories a day are you burning against what you are consuming. Below is a link that will help you calculate those numbers. Calorie Count is a great (and free) online resource that lets you find out how many calories you are eating, how much you should eat and how exercise fits into your overall daily caloric needs.
The site also contains recipes and exercise info. Have fun!!
Also, just b/c you’re on a budget, doesn’t mean that you have to eat foods that contain fat and refined carbs. You can buy relatively cheaper produce like apples, bananas, lettuce (head lettuce not bagged), green beans, tuna fish and low fat cottage cheese for about as much if you were to go to the grocery store and load up crackers, frozen foods and chips.
Also, you can make a super healthy soup with tons of veggies and beans that you can live off of for days. Cooking will definitely stretch your dollar much more than hanging out at fast-food restaurants and eating from their $1.00 menu will.
Good luck!
