Can I drink herbal tea while fasting for a blood test?
I’m doing a 14-hour fast for a blood test tomorrow morning.
But I can’t sleep, and I’d really like a cup of Dr. Stuart’s herbal Valerian-Plus tea. (Ingredients are limeflowers, Valerian root [20%], hops (15%), passion flowers and fennel.)
Would a cup of this, with no sugar or anything else added, affect the results of the blood test?
If you drank the tea, then you wouldn’t be fasting.
