Lose Weight Fast Menus
I’m trying to eat healthier. Advice? Tips?

I’m twenty, and chubby. Heh, but I love my body, and my curves and all that good stuff. I’m not doing this To Lose Weight Fast, or anything crazy like that. lol. I’m doing it so that I can FEEL better and be healthy.

I want to make a lifestyle change and EAT better. [but still deliciously..] I feel like I’m really unhealthy and it’s starting to bother me.

I won’t give up icecream. but I’m willing to cut back. I also go out to dinner about once a week with my boyfriend – any tips on how to look at the menu and [without annoying the server by asking 30 gajillion questions about nutritional value] – find something healthier than what I’ve been eating.

I eat a lot fries, sandwhiches, eggs and bacon, toast with peanut butter, bananas, berries, ice cream, whipped cream, barbeque food – etc. right now.

Your diet has a LOT of fat and cholesterol and not nearly enough fiber or nutrients, which is probably a big reason you’ve been feeling unhealthy. You did not mention any vegetables at all!

I would *seriously* consider taking up veggies. They probably won’t taste that great at first after what you’ve been eating, but if you add enough herbs, garlic, onions etc. they’ll start to grow on you. Find ways to include veggies in your diet whenever you can. They are fat and cholesterol-free, and as long as you don’t add too much butter or oil them, you can pretty much eat as many as you want without gaining a pound. It will also help you in the bathroom department if you’ve had issues with constipation.

When at the restaurant, you could get a side salad, fruit or even soup (not a creamed one, though) instead of french fries at most places. You could order an entree salad, too. For protein, if you have to eat meat, choose fish and poultry over beef and pork. If you are amenable to eating the occasional vegetarian meal, choose beans or tofu (try it lightly pan-fried if you haven’t had it before). Vegetarian protein sources are cholesterol-free. Asian restaurants have lots of healthier dishes with tasty vegetables, so go for Chinese!
