Metabolism Fat Loss
Does your metabolism in fact slow down with Weight Loss,and if it does is it permanent?

I know that they say that extreme Diets or diets in general slow your metabolism, but I feel that this doom and gloom message perpetrated by The Diet industry to ensure that after people lose weight they feel doomed to be fat. (This subconsciously sets them up) I got thinking about this when I watched an episode of biggest loser and one of the contestants hit a plateau and was advised to in fact eat more to rev the metabolism up.

When you are loosing weight quickly sometimes your body goes into starvation mode and HOLDS all the fat and you plateu. Eating a little MORE will help your body regain its equalibrium and with exercies and the PROPER food choices you’ll start loosing again.

I’ve not heard of your metabolism slowing DOWN xcept with age more than anything else. You body has it’s own CYCLES too…not too much is ‘permanent’ xcept death & Taxes!! : )
