Weight Loss in early pregnancy?

I gained almost 70 pounds with my first baby. Before I was pregnant with him I weighed somewhere between 145 and 150 pounds. At delivery, I weighed 216.

Now my son is ten months old and I am 9 weeks pregnant again. Before pregnancy I weighed 190-196. At about 4 weeks I weighed 185. At 6-7 weeks I weighed 183, and as of today I weigh 182.5. Is this Safe Weight Loss since it’s slowing down? I will stop losing weight eventually, right? And what can I do to prevent gaining another 70 pounds? (Besides the obvious – I was pigging out with my first son, mostly healthy food, but I had a big sour-rope candy addiction.)

i can say from experience… that i too done the same… my first son i weighed 193 after i had him.. i got pregnant when he was only 3 months old… when i first got pregnant i weighed 190 and for some reason i continued to lose weight… i’m now 38 weeks and i’ve just came up to 195 but the doc says the baby is growing fine and everything is normal.. and i have known of other women to lose weight in pregnancy… just continue to take ur vitamins and eat healthy and if u get too concerned ur doctor can offer some great advice… good luck and congrats!!
