Why is my Weight Loss seemed to slow down?
I lost about 25 pounds since the first months of the year (an average of 2 pounds a week) I'm still losing, but now it seems that the loss has slowed, I've only fallen about 3 or 4 pounds in recent weeks. I eat about 1500 calories a day on average, which is well below the point of losing weight according to BMI And Weight Loss calculator I used on the MSN site. I a man of 48 years and I have a job that includes a physical work, ie: climbing in and out of trucks, many of climbing stairs and heavy load moving part the day. I really do not want to cut my calorie intake any lower than 1500 per day. Any thoughts from anyone in the same situation? Am I on the right track and just losing patience? Thanks everyboby.
You should be reaching what is called a "Weight Loss Plateau." The smaller one weighs less of calories. This is why initially lost weight at a faster pace. To counter this, follow a diet for shorter periods. Try to maintain your weight. And then restart your diet. We must counter the plateau. Weight loss will occur over a longer time period and will require more time to reach your goal, but saves you from having to cut more calories and more in the long term. Good luck.
