
i’ve hit a rut in my weight-loss programme. last year i lost 4 stone (56lbs for yanks), although?
this year i’m struggling to lose anything.
I walk in and out of work (1.8 miles each way), do cardio workouts every other day, and weights as well. My diet is mostly chicken, fruit, veg, and water. I’ve recently started running, and have drastically reduced the amount of bread i eat every day, no more than two slices of low carb high fibre stuff.
Does anyone have any tips how i can kick start my diet.
p.s. i need to lose about another 30lbs to be at my ideal healthy weight for my height.

It could be that your current workout is no longer effective to your body. Try increasing weight and doing more reps. Another possibility is, depending on what your height and current weight is, you are exchanging Fat Pounds for muscle pounds You didn’t give your height and weight which could be key to the answer.
[edit] Given your height, weight and body fat percent, you would still have room to trim more weight. I would go with changing your workout. And some new exercises that may additionally target different areas than what you have been working. You may also try throwing in another quick workout session if you have time so you are increasing the amount of time you are working out and Burning Weight. Don’t forget though, you will still be replacing muscle with fat and the Weight Loss may seem gradual. But yeah, try new workouts and try throwing in another workout session to see how that works out for you.
Oh, and if you feel your activity level exceeds your food intake, eat a bit more. Add some extra protein (builds muscle) and add a bit more carbs so your body has sufficient energy to meet up with the demands of your workout.
[edit] – UGH! Another person recommending the cleansing diet. Don’t you people know that is an unhealthy method for losing weight!!!!! Might as well just starve yourself and cut your muscle off and save your body the effort!
The cleansing diet is where you drink this nasty concoction with no valuable nutruitional value to your body. I believe it consists of lemon juice, curry, maple syrup and another one or two things. As I said, might as well starve yourself.
