they are the same thing, wu-long teas(also called oolong) are grown on the wu-yi mountain range in the south fujian province
of China, that’s how they got the nickname wu-yi. As far as weight loss, it will help, but it is not an easy solution, unfortunately you will have to exercise and eat a healthy balanced diet, but the tea will help reduce the amount of fat that your body stores, hope this helps.
